What is the duration of the Yoga Teacher Training Course?
The Yoga teacher training course is divided on an hourly basis. A student has to undergo this training. The foundation course is of 100 Hours while the maximum duration for the senior course is 500 hours. There are an intermediate course of 200 hours and 300 hours as well.
What is the syllabus of the courses?
The syllabus is divided into both practical and theoretical aspects. The theories include various Vedic philosophies where the Yoga Sutras as propounded by ancient Indian Yog Gurus, are taught. The practical part of the course deals with the learning of various asanas and mudras and also classes on human anatomy and physiology so that the interrelation between these two can be established.
Who are the faculties?
The faculties include experienced teachers of the institute who has been associated with teaching Yoga for many years. Besides the regular faculty, scholars are invited from all over the world for delivering lectures and conducting workshops and seminars so that the students can gain a better knowledge.
Are there residential facilities?
Yes, there are. In order to free the students from the anxiety of finding a shelter and carrying out their training, there are facilities of hostel where they can relax and pursue the course. Hostel are there for both Indian and international students. Also, there are separate hostels for the male and female students.
What do the residential facilities include?
The hostel follows strict discipline and punctuality is greatly valued. Meals are provided three times a day. Regular cleaning service in the rooms is also provided. Rooms are generally shared among two or three students. However, if a trainee wants to stay alone, an arrangement can be made on that as well.
Is there a dietician?
Yes. There is an expert dietician who provides diet chart for the trainees so that they can maintain their wait and can pursue the training easily. Regular medical check up is also arranged to keep a track on the health of the trainees.
Is a certificate provided after the course?
Yes, after a student completes the training, an examination is held. If the examination is cleared satisfactorily, a certificate is provided indicating the duration of the course and the expertise provided by the student in the course. A student can then be called a certified Yoga teacher.
